Candidate for Communications Director- Jose Pehovaz-Diez
About JoseQ: Why should I be communications director for the great class of 1999?
A: When I experienced the camaraderie displayed at the reunion and I saw the friendships that have there for over 20 years, I knew that I wanted to help the class by volunteering for a position on the class board. I also wanted to highlight and communicate this fellowship to our classmates so I decided to volunteer for the position of communications director. My opinion is that it would be great for our class to nurture and grow this unity over the next five years leading to another great reunion. I started this commitment over the last year by volunteering to be part of the communications committee helping with outreach on the website, Facebook and Instagram account. The communications program should continue with a spirit of accountability and transparency, getting the right information at the right time to the right people. My vision for the communications program is a program with “tact, patience, justice, firmness, kindness and charity”. This does not mean we will never make mistakes or get some information wrong but we will strive to hold ourselves accountable and try to make things right. Initiatives that should be taken by the communications program over the next five years in no particular order:
